Several wild and domestic forms are in the hobby and in my experience they are quite hardy. I keep most of mine in my tapwater at 450 µs/cm. and pH 7,5 but some, like the red tiger OE seems to be a bit more sensitive. The red tiger OE is kept in "bee-water" at approx. 250 µs/cm.
Wildtype:
This is a wildtype where some females develop a very prominent backline and the shimp vary from greenish to reddish brown.
Red tiger:
The red tiger is a development from wild specimens. There are fancy red tigers in the hobby too from crossbreeds, but these are real C. mariae.
Red tiger OE:
Red tiger OE is a domestic type that can have blueish or yellowish bodycolour. Seems a bit more sensitive.
Deep blue tiger OE:
The deep blue tiger OE is probably the most widespread in the hobby but not seen as often as in the "pre-Taiwan bee-era". In the deep blue groups blond or pale blue specimens appear.

Royal blue tiger OE:
Stunning type with deep blue, sometimes almost violet body without the tigerstripes visible.
